Bronze Arrowheads

Date: 800 - 600 BC.

Place: Found at Hebron, Israel

Photographed at Bibleworld Museum & Discovery Centre, Rotorua, New Zealand.

These arrows were used during the period described in 2 Kings where the kingdom of Judah witnessed many battles against invading armies.

These arrows are very roughly made and may be an example of ancient recycling. The defenders of Hebron may have re-used the bronze weapons that came over the wall from the attacking army to create their own arrowheads to fire back.
