Granary Model

This model depicts clerks keeping records of the grain on tablets and papyrus scrolls, while other workers measure grain in buckets and deposit it in the granary.

In Genesis 41ff, Pharaoh has a dream that foretells a great famine in the land. After interpreting Pharaoh’s dream, Joseph is put in charge of stockpiling grain to enable the Egyptians to survive the famine. Over a period of years, Joseph fills Egypt’s granaries with grain. This model depicts a granary from the period Joseph lived in Egypt.
